This past June I graduated from the University of California, Irvine with a Bachelor’s of Arts in Criminology, Law and Society as well as Urban Studies. I chose Community Development as my emphasis for my Urban Studies degree as I’ve always had a fascination for learning about what it takes to build strong, prosperous communities. Though both fields are unique in nature, I have found them each to be extremely intriguing. I took an assortment of classes that ranged in topics, including: urban inequality, crime measurement, foundations of common health, urban and regional planning, urban sociology, legal sanctions and california population, among many others. I was even fortunate enough to be 1 of 40 students selected to study abroad at the University of Cambridge where I took a class on psychology and the law and further studied Cambridge's closed-circuit television (CCTV) security system which films and over-sees the entire town; its primary goal is to provide safety and alleviate crime throughout Cambridge. While there I also got to tour the infamous courthouse and meet several of Cambridge’s finest local political figures.        

While in school, I also held several jobs and volunteer positions that helped me inquire professional skills (you can view most of these in my attached resume). I was a Resident Advisor which opened my eyes to diversity and allowed me to inquire patience, love, and understanding for a spectrum of people. I worked at the campus Ropes Course where I not only taught teams the value of team work, but experienced it myself. At The Hill, formerly called The UCI Bookstore, I learned how to interact with an assortment of people and quickly became the student worker who had the most knowledge of the system that the store was ran on.
