Help Wanted: Database Administrator
The ideal Database Administrator will be strong in systems and data management, written and verbal communication and data analysis.

The Database Administrator will have strong knowledge in SQL Server, collaborate with our internal team memebers and vendors to maintain, update and create backend databases and that can deliver reports and metrics related to merchandising metrics.

The team moves incredibly fast and needs a team member who is an excellent communicator who can work in a fast-paced environment, be solution and detail oriented and who is able to roll up their sleeves and get the work done.

Develop reports that provide insight to retailer using department BI, ETL and SQL tools.

Consult with internal team members to gather end user requirements to develop optimal reporting solutions for their needs

Create functional specs for all reports
Produce and analyze data from various databases and sources.

Report on key metrics, analyze reports, and provide actionable insight based on the reports.

Support ad hoc reporting requests using all appropriate and available systems.

Manage system upgrade process including identifying new needs, testing, releasing, and communicating changes.

Optimize, streamline, and strengthen existing reporting.

This key position reports to the Director, Retail Execution Planning & Logistics in Valencia, CA.

Skills Required:
2-3 years reporting and database management experience
Experience with BI reporting software solutions
Strong knowledge of SQL Server, creating ETLS, stored procedures, SSIS packages and a track record of creating and maintaining processes that enforce and maintain high data quality standards.
Familiarity with managing server OS, general administrator tasks.Basic programming skills (ie Visual Studio) a plus. Experience with APIs, XML
Experience producing unit tests and functional tests
Experience developing and maintaining dashboard reports
Analytical skills required –detailed data analysis and comprehensive follow-up needed to meet business needs.
Strong understanding of how data collected will flow into reporting systems
Outstanding communication, attention to detail, and interpersonal skills required.
Resolve complex issues in creative and effective ways.
Demonstrate responsiveness, ownership, accuracy, and integrity in all communication
Self-starter that is adept at managing through chaos to reach a goal.
Reporting background in a retail operations environment highly preferred.
Possess an expert understanding and ability to use Microsoft Office products, primarily advanced Excel.
Microsoft Reporting Services and Microstategy a plus.
Technical degree preferred
Excellent communicator and collaborator who works cross-functionally to support the building of key reports, metrics. Pushes the envelope - innovative thinking who challenges themselves to improve existing processes.
