Claims Rep II - Santa Clarita Job

Under close supervision, evaluates, investigates and adjusts first party claims and third party property damage claims with limited liability in a timely and efficient manner as to prevent unnecessary expense to the Company and policyholders. Contacts with interested parties are made primarily through written and telephone communication.

Written and verbal communication skill to effectively and professionally correspond with claimants and insureds. Some analytical ability necessary to evaluate relevant information essential in resolving routine collision and comprehensive claims. Requires the occasional exercise of independent judgment which may have moderate impact on the Company in areas such as costs, consumer loyalty, and legal complications. Requires critical attention to detail. Good organizational skills needed to manage a high volume of claims.

Skills Required:

Includes completion of the formal claims training program, which may require overnight travel for at least 6 weeks. Worker characteristics are normally acquired through the successful completion of an Associate's degree (2-year program); 6 - 12 months of related experience; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
