The FCC Office Assistant will serve as the EMF representative based in Newhall, CA. This position is responsible for general office duties and ensuring ongoing station compliance and assisting Regional Public Affairs Managers with administrative tasks. This position is based in Newhall, California and is a part time position.
A few responsibilities include...
•Maintain the facility, ensuring access to the public during business hours and maintain a neat and clean facility that is compliant with a safe and healthy environment
•Maintenance of FCC public files and filing of new items as received
•Assist in responding to FCC inspections as required
•Respond to questions and requests from the public and FCC regarding station and FCC rules and regulations
•Compile and send Quarterly Issues Reports for Affiliate Stations (non-EMF owned)
•Provide administrative support as needed to RPAMS (Regional Public Affairs Managers)
Here's what we're looking for...
•1 years of experience providing administrative support. Prior experience maintaining an office (within the broadcast industry a plus!)
•Excellent organizational skills (oral and written) and the ability to excel at details, multi-tasking
•Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite (Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Internet Navigation)
•Proven ability to manage competing priorities successfully
•Knowledge of broadcast-related FCC rules and regulations a plus
•Able to work independently; a motivated, self-starter with high level of integrity
•Candidates currently living in the Newhall area preferred.
•This is a part time position consisting of 4 hours per day.
