Help Wanted: Maintenance Mechanic
Responsible for maintenance and repair of packaging and manufacturing equipment. Works with other departments to maintain continuous production flow and ensure optimal production line output.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily with or without reasonable accommodation.
• Ensuring the timely production and packaging of goods in a facility
• Inspecting the machinery to ascertain the proper functionality of the same
• Conducting regular repair, service and maintenance activities on the manufacturing machinery
• Appropriately handling repair and testing tools and other equipments
• Complying with all corporate policies and the Occupational Safety and health administration rules (OSHA) while carrying out all work processes
• Reporting damages and other malfunctions to the supervising authority
• Obtaining feedback from the production department regarding the functioning of the machinery
• Coordinating maintenance processes with the production department in a way in which the production output and packaging is least affected
• Additional tasks, duties and responsibilities as assigned by management
Qualifications: The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skill, and/or ability required for this position.
• Ability to multi-task projects and duties
• Must demonstrate effective oral communication skills and the ability to work cooperatively with staff inside and outside of the department
• Must be familiar with mechanic’s tools, hand drills, electrical/electronic controls/systems, pneumatic equipment etc.
Education and/or Experience:
• High School diploma
• 3+ years general Production Packaging maintenance and repair
Physical Requirements:
• Standing and sitting for prolonged periods of time
• Ability to lift up to 50 lbs.
• Frequent Walking
• Exposure to various weather conditions
