Position Description:
Reporting to and under the supervision of the Dean, School of Visual and Performing Arts, the Arts Education Technician II performs a variety of specialized technical, clerical and office support functions related to the coordination of the PAC’s nationally-recognized K-12 Arts Education Outreach activities, programs, projects, and services. The K-12 Arts Education Outreach Program includes school assemblies, multi-week school-based art projects, and bus-in opportunities for students in the Santa Clarita Valley as well as professional development activities in the arts for K-12 teachers. Assists the Dean with coordination of visits by professional guest artists, master classes for College of the Canyons students, as well as inter-department collaborations within the School of Visual and Performing Arts. Provides office support and performs other related duties as assigned. Actual working hours may vary depending on the program needs.

Minimum Requirements:

Experience: Two (2) years of full-time equivalent experience working in an office environment with at least six (6) months full-time equivalent experience performing administrative support for arts programs. Requires proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite applications – Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint, and Word in a Windows environment.
Education: Education equivalent to an Associate’s degree (60 semester units) from an accredited institution is required. Two (2) years of direct experience in addition to that identified above may be substituted for each one-year (30 semester units) of college.
Licenses/certifications: A valid California driver’s license and the ability to maintain insurability under the District’s vehicle insurance policy.
