College of the Canyons, located 35 miles north of downtown Los Angeles in the beautiful Santa Clarita Valley, is seeking a Administrative Assistant I (University Center)(47.5%) This is a Part-Time Classified Represented Position. Shift: Mon (1:30 – 5:30 pm) and Tues-Thur (12:30-5:30 pm) Position Description: Under direction of the Director of the University Center, performs customer service, receptionist, and a variety of specialized and responsible administrative and clerical duties in support of the daily operations of the University Center. Performs other related duties as assigned. Minimum Qualifications: Experience: Equivalent to two (2) full-time years of varied administrative and clerical experience, including some experience in organizing and coordinating clerical functions. Education: High school diploma or its equivalent. Coursework in word processing, business office organization and other related skill areas including computer literacy is desired.
